We have provided expert consultancy for the safe and strategic deconstruction of a well-known Premier League football stadium. This high-profile project involved dismantling a 35,000-seater stadium, including the careful removal of asbestos, foundations, and other obstructions.
Our team managed the complex task of taking down the cantilevered stands and removing large steel sections, all while ensuring the safety of the surrounding residential area and a nearby church that was directly adjacent to the site. Detailed planning and precise execution were essential to the success of the demolition, especially given the challenging environment.
To support the demolition, we employed soil stabilization techniques on the demolition platform by mixing cement with the original football pitch. This innovative approach not only provided a stable platform for the high-reach demolition excavator but also reduced the need for imported crushed concrete, enhancing sustainability.
Sustainability was at the heart of this project, as all demolished brick and concrete materials were recycled and repurposed in the new development. Despite the complexities, the project was completed on time and within the original budget
Alperton Bus depot - Separation and deconstruction of the bus depot and 4 storey live London Underground substation.
Our consultancy played a pivotal role in the Alperton Bus Depot project, which involved the complex task of separating a live London Underground four-story substation from the main garage structure. We took charge of every detail, from creating detailed Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to using bespoke 3D model planning and coordination. This careful planning ensured that the separation process did not disrupt ongoing operations, maintaining the safety and functionality of the site.
We also managed all temporary works designs as designated individuals, coordinating Category 3 checks and approvals with London Underground. Once approvals were secured, we oversaw the demolition, ensuring the process was smooth and fully compliant. Our team’s meticulous approach extended to overseeing the installation of permanent weatherproofing, protecting the integrity of the separated structures.
